PURPOSE:To stably manufacture molten pig iron having low Si, low S and high Mn concns. for a long period by blowing an aqueous slurry contg. fine iron ore, fine Mn ore and limestone powder into a blast furnace from tuyeres. CONSTITUTION:Fine iron ore in a service hopper 1, fine Mn ore in a service hopper 2 and slag forming agents such as limestone and serpentine in service hoppers 3, 4 are fed to a mixing tank 10 by prescribed amounts through rotary feeders 5, 6, 7, 8, respectively. In the tank 10, they are uniformly mixed with water fed from a line 9. The resulting aqueous slurry having a prescribed concn. is sent to a distributor 12 with a slurry pump 11, distributed to tuyeres 14 and blown into a blast furnace 1 through blowing nozzles 13. |
