In the wheel carrier according to the invention, bearing surfaces 2 of a rib 3 are arranged along the outer periphery of this wheel carrier. The rib which extends between the bearing surfaces has straight linking zones. The result is that the flow of force from the pressure is directed so that inside the linking zones there is only a pure compression stress. This wheel carrier ensures better rolling conditions for the wheel. <IMAGE>
