Sealing device for the tail of a driving shield comprising two joint seals 9, 10 arranged one behind the other. The seals 9, 10 are held by a plurality of threaded rods 23 distributed over the perimeter of the joint, and may be coupled via their rear end to one of the seals 9, 10. In their front zone, the threaded rods 23 are provided with adjusting nuts 18 which are arranged in a butt-piece 14 fixed to the tail of the shield 2. By means of connection members arranged on the threaded rods 23 and on the adjusting nuts 18, the seals 9, 10 may be pushed in the drilling direction or in the opposite direction, and positioned. <IMAGE>
