PURPOSE:To increase the eye part intensity effectively by forming it in the U shape that the both ends become higher than the plate thickness by expanding the plate width of the spring blank or by bending the width expanding both end parts in U shape by making the rolling degrees larger as moving to the eye equivalent part. CONSTITUTION:The eye equivalent part 3d at both ends of the plate stock 2 for spring is made in a width expanding contour 3g and the cross section of the width expanding part 3 thereof is formed in U shape by its bending so as to make it higher than the plate thickness. The intensity of the eye part is increased by eye-winding this both end parts. The intensity is increased by making the crystal grain size smaller by rolling with an eccentric roll so that the plate thickness t becomes thinner as moving to the eye equivalent part 3d at both ends of the strip steel 3 for spring, and the expanding part 3g of width expanding both end parts 3d is eye-wound by forming in U shape with its bending. The strip steel 3 increases the eye part intensity by the U shaped cross section with good material yield.
