SPRING PLATE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To increase the strength of a spring plate effectively by machining a spring blank with its cross section in U shape that the rising part becomes higher as it moves to the center part in the length or by bending both end parts which expand in the width in U shape by making its rolling degree larger as moving the center part. CONSTITUTION:The plate stock 2 for spring is made in the contour 12g that the plate width becomes wider as moving to the center part 2a in the length and the width expanding part 12a is bent to form the cross section in U shape. The intensity of the center part where the stress of the spring plate is most applied due to this shape is increased. The intensity is increased by making the crystal grain size smaller by rolling with an eccentric roll so as to make the plate thickness t thinner as moving to the part equivalent to the center part 12a of the strip steel 12 for spring, and yet the cross section is formed in U shape by bending the width expanding part 12g at the width both ends. The center part 12u of the strip steel 12 is formed in U shape with good material yield and the spring plate intensity is effectively increased.
