The invention relates to mechanical constructions. The installation which is the subject of the invention is of the type comprising a frame 1 in which are mounted a table 2 for fastening a part to be machined 3 and a rotating table 5 in which is fastened a tool 6 carrying an inverse image of that of the relief to be obtained on the part to be machined 3 and wedged on a crankshaft 7 which is kinematically linked to a control, and is characterised in that the tool 6 is fastened to the rotating table 5 so that its surface oriented towards the table 2 is arranged at an angle alpha with respect to the rotating table 5, the table 2 comprising a control 27 for placing its surface parallel to the surface of the tool 6 oriented towards the table 2, the said installation moreover comprising a source of abrasive suspension and at least one nozzle 20 communicating with this source and placed above the table 2 to bring the abrasive suspension under the tool 6, the tilting angle alpha of the tool 6 with respect to the rotating table 5 being chosen in order to satisfy the following condition: <IMAGE> where D is the mean dimension of an abrasive grain; e is the eccentricity of the crankshaft.
