PURPOSE:To realize stable integral compensating operation surely and increase stiffness by making a compensating circuit used in head position follow-up control parallel constitution of an advance compensating circuit using an analog circuit and an integral compensating circuit using a digital filter. CONSTITUTION:A compensating circuit 17 used for head position follow-up control is constituted of an advance compensating circuit 18 and an integral compensating circuit 15 including a digital circuit, and integral compensation is realized by using a digital filter 13 formed of the digital circuit. Output signals of a positional signal demodulating circuit 6 enter the compensating circuit 18 and integral compensating circuit 15, and output signals of the advance compensating circuit 18 and output signal of the integral compensating circuit 15 are added. A voice coil motor 5 is driven by the added signals through a motor driving circuit 9, and head position follow-up control is performed. By making integral compensation using the digital filter 13, integral compensating operation is made stable and sure, and stiffness is increased.
