PURPOSE:To protect a sensor so that the neither a spatter of welding nor paint mist sticks on the sensor by arranging a vortex chamber between the sensor part and an operation point and boring an air inlet in its side wall. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air or gas when supplied to a guide groove 15 through the air inlet 18 is spoutted from a nozzle hole 14 to the vortex chamber 12 at an angle alpha and atomized suddenly toward an expanded part 13 while forming a barrier of a vortex layer in front of the sensor. This expanded part 13 diffuses the air or gas, so it is never spouted to the operation point 17 direct ly. The welding spatter 7 and paint mist are therefore cut off by the barrier. Thus, the sensor is so protected that neither the welding spatter nor the paint sticks on the sensor.
