PURPOSE:To modify the titled characteristic, by rapidly cooling amorphous alloy having compsn. composed mostly of Co from molten state to obtain amorphous state and anneal treating the alloy in magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Compsn. of the alloy is composed of 7-35atom% only B or total of B and C and the balance Co having ferromagnetism at normal temp. As auxiliary components, by atom% <=50% total of components of one or >=2 kinds among every group in <=20% Ni, <=25% Si, <=15% at least one kind among Cr, Mn, <=10% one kind or more from Mo, Zr, etc., <=5% one king or more from Pr, Nd, etc., is used. A row material metal 3 is charged from a quartz tube 1, heated and melted by a heating furnace 4, jetted from a nozzle 2 to inner side of a revolving drum 5, and cooled to amorphous metal at an ultrahigh speed. The amorphous metal is heat treated at about 300 deg.C in magnetic field. by the above constitution, magnetic characteristic can be modified according to use of the titled alloy.
