PURPOSE:To view a display without any washout and to make visibility or a defect in vision hard to decrease or occur when intense incidence light strikes by using a color filter formed by mixing a translucent foil piece type fine material and curing and adhesive material. CONSTITUTION:The color filter is formed by printing and curing the adhesive material obtained by adding additives such as an adhesive such as epoxy resin, a pigment, a viscosity conditioner, a printing performance improving agent, an ultraviolet-ray absorber, and a polymerization initiator, a solvent, etc., to the translucent foil piece type fine material like mica when necessary. In a normal state, part of light emitted b a light source 7 for illumination provided on a reverse side strikes on the eye of an observer in front of a liquid display element directly and the remainder is reflected by a reflecting member 8 for illumination through a reverse-side polarizing film 5B, a reverse-side substrate 2B, liquid crystal 4, a top-side substrate 2A, and a top-side polarizing film 5A, so that display contents formed by applying a voltage to the electrode on the opposite substrate are read by the observer. |
