The device relates to a joint prostheses of the type including two pins 11, 12 intended each respectively to be engaged in the two bones to be connected, and, positioned between the said pins, jointed surfaces. According to the invention, these jointed surfaces include, for the pin 11, two spherical caps 15A, 15B directed in opposite directions, and, for the pin 12, two spherical caps 16A, 16B which, complimentary to the preceding ones, fit into them, interacting with restraining means capable of allowing only a relative pivoting, around a transverse axis T, of the said spherical caps 16A, 16B with respect to the said spherical caps 15A, 15B.
