PURPOSE:To make an airtight failure between cells preventable, by installing an air hole in a heating plate to be used in a heat deposition process between a battery jar and a cover. CONSTITUTION:In a heating plate 1, an air hole 1 is opened in a part corresponding to each cell avoiding a spot where a partition wall 3 of a battery jar 1 comes into contact with a partition wall 3' of a cover 4 and another part intersecting the former, whereby the plate 1 is interconnected to the atmosphere. When heat deposition between the battery jar 2 and the cover 4 is carried out with the heating plate 1, the battery jar 2 and the cover 4 are pressed to the heating plate 1. At this time the heating plate 1 comes into contact with the battery jar 2, producing a melting layer of resin, thus it hermetically seals an interval between the heating plate 1 and the battery jar 2. And, air inside the battery jar is heated and expanded by the heating plate 1 and escapes to the atmosphere from the air hole 5. Therefore, an airtight failure between cells caused by a bend of the partition wall 3 due to a pressure differential between cells of the battery jar 2 is reducible. |
