PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of NOx without deteriorating burning property by a method wherein combustion air is supplied into a combustion chamber while dividing it into two stages or more and water is sprayed into the air of second stage or later than second stage. CONSTITUTION:Primary air arrives at primary combustion chamber 2 through an opening A and is mixed with the mist of fuel, thereafter, mixture is ignited by an ignition means. Secondary air, including the proper amount of spray water, sprayed by a water spray nozzle 13, arrives at a wind box 5 for the secondary air and cools the secondary air wind box 5 and a combustion cylinder 3, thereafter, is injected from secondary air injection port 6 into flame under the condition of imperfect combustion and mixed with it, then, secondary combustion is effected. In this case, the water, arriving at the flame, is gasified instantaneously and prevents the temperature rise of the flame to prevent the generation of NOx while the gasification reaction of water gas between the water and free carbon in the flame is generated and, thus, the generation of NOx may be prevented. |
