PURPOSE:A hair tonic cosmetic, obtained by blending hepronicate with other ingredients, having low skin irritancy and capable of sustainedly promoting the blood circulation of the scalp and exhibiting improved effect on hair growth, prevention of depilation and dandruff, etc. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic cosmetic obtained by blending hepronicate (=2- hydroxymethyl-2-hexyl-1,3-propanediol trinicotinate), which is a well-known nicotinic acid derivative, having improved blood serum hypoliphemic action, applied to improvement in hyperlipemia and expressed by the formula with other ingredients. The amount of the above-mentioned compound to be blended is 0.05-1.0wt%, preferably 0.1-0.7wt% based on the total weight of the hair tonic cosmetic composition. The above-mentioned hair tonic cosmetic may be suitably blended with a dyestuff, perfume, germicide, preservative, keratolytic agent, antiandrogen agent, hair tonic, antioxidant, etc., in addition to the above- mentioned compound and used in a dosage form, e.g. hair tonic, hair lotion, hair cream, etc., according to a conventional method. |
