PURPOSE:To enhance the cool-down performance of a cooler having a heat regenerative subcondenser, by changing over the mode of operation among a cooled air blow-off mode, a standard mode and a heat regenerative mode in accordance with the temperature of the evaporator. CONSTITUTION:A mode controller 21 receives a signal from a sensor 20 for detecting the temperature of an evaporator 6, and opens a cooled air blow-off bypass valve 16 along to set a cooled air blow-off mode when the temperature of the evaporator exceeds a set value, and therefore, the cooling capacity is increased due to the cooling effect of a subcondenser 11. If the temperature of the evaporator is in a set temperature range, the cooled air blow-off bypass valve 16 is closed while a standard bypass valve 18 is opened to set a standard mode. Further, if the temperature of the evaporator is below the set temperature range, cooled air is led into the subcondenser 11 through a heat regenerative expansion valve 15 to cool down heat regenerative water. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the performance of the cool-down. |
