PURPOSE:To easily produce ferroelectric powder consisting of uniform fine particles having low sintering temperature and high purity, by adding a specific alkoxide mixture to an aqueous solution of ammonium paratungstate and heating resultant precipitate. CONSTITUTION:(A) A mixture of a lead alkoxide, a titanium alkoxide and a magnesium alkoxide is added to (B) an aqueous solution of ammonium paratungstate to effect the hydrolysis of the alkoxides and the coprecipitation of the W component and the resultant precipitate is heated to obtain ferroelectric powder of formula (0
