PURPOSE:To make a battery easily manufacturable into a thin type as well as to make an effect of energy density in the thick type enclosed lead storage battery keepable, by locking a plate group to a tube of a heat contractive resin film by heat contraction and housing it in the battery, while depositing upper and lower opening parts of the tube together by heating. CONSTITUTION:A tube 2 consisting of a heat contractive resin film is housed in a plate group and, after being contracted by heat, upper and lower opening parts of the tube 2 are subjected to heat deposition (3). For example, the plate group 1 of 46mmX86mmX5.6mm and the tube 2 composed of a copolymer of vinyl chloride of 5mm in width, 1.0mm in thickness and 110phi and vinylidene chloride are used. The tube 2 consisting of the heat contractive resin film is used and that it is subjected to heat contraction, so that thickness as a battery vessel can be thinned to the extent of 0.1mm or so, therefore in case of a thin type battery, the plate group 1 and a battery electrolyte are utilizable in battery volume and, what is more, improvement in energy density is well promoted. In addition, operation is simply carried out in an easy manner and productivity is also improved. |
