PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the cooling capacity of a cooler having a cool accumulating subcondenser, by changing over the mode of operation among a cool releasing mode, a standard mode and a cool accumulating mode in accordance with the temperature of the passenger's compartment of a vehicle and the temperature of an evaporator so that the cool accumulation is made when the temperature of the evaporator is lower then a set temperature. CONSTITUTION:A mode controller 21 receives signals from a sensor 20a for detecting the temperature of the passenger's compartment and a sensor 20b for detecting the temperature of an evaporator 6, and opens a cool releasing bypass valve 16 alone to set a cooled air blow-off mode when both temperature exceed set values. Meanwhile a standard bypass valve is along opened to set a standard mode when the temperature of the passenger's compartment is below the set value while the temperature of the evaporator exceeds the set value. Further, when the temperature of the evaporator is below the set value, a cool accumulating bypass valve 19 is alone opened to set a cool accumulating mode irrespective of the temperature of the passengers's compartment. |
