PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of a header and production of a change in a material quality and to facilitate mounting and demounting, by a method wherein, in a direct tube type shell and tube type heat exchanger, a twisted plate is inserted in a heat transfer tube, a wire material is inserted through the end of the twisted plate outside the heat transfer tube, and a position thereof is held. CONSTITUTION:Proper holes 12 are previously bored in both end parts of a twisted plate 9 sized to be slightly longer than a heat transfer tube 4, the twisted plate 9 is inserted in the heat transfer tube 4, and the hole 12 parts are protruded in the vertical direction of the heat transfer tube 4 for positioning. A wire material 13, e.g., wire, is inserted through each of the holes 12 on the upper and the lower side to hold the position thereof. The end part of the wire material 13 is tied or bent so as to prevent slip-off of the end part of the wire material 13 from the hole 12. The twisted plate can be easily mounted without welding or machining a screw hole, a change in the quality and corrosion of headers 2 and 3 are prevented from occurring, and mounting and demounting operation during inspection is also facilitated. |
