PURPOSE:To keep a temperature within a given range during cooking by a method wherein a set temperature and a cooking temperature are converted into numerical values and the flow amount of gas, supplied to a burner, is controlled by comparing said numerical values. CONSTITUTION:The setting position of a temperature setting volume 18 is converted into an electric signal by a temperature setting unit 10 while the electric signal is converted again into a numerical value by the set temperature memorizing unit 13 of a deciding unit 12 and is memorized. On the other hand, the temperature of a cooking material, heated by the combustion of a burner 3, is measured by a temperature sensor 5, contacted with the bottom of an oven 4 accommodating the cooking material and the measured temperature is converted into a numerical value by the cooking temperature detecting unit 14 of the deciding unit 12. A combustion control unit 15 operates the difference of respective numerical values of the set temperature memorizing unit 13 and the cooking temperature detecting unit 14 to operate a solenoid value 8 and a proportional valve 11 and control the cooking temperature so as to be constant.
