PURPOSE:To enable inhibition of drop in Q along with limited changes in the oscillation frequency even when watery sample is inserted, by arranging a dielectric board wider than a slit of an oscillator to cover the slit from inside a loop. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric board 6 is wider than a slit 2 and arranged to cover the slit 2 from inside a loop 1. In a loop gap resonator, as equivalent circuit, the part of the slit 2 corresponds to a capacitor of capacitance C, the portion of the loop 1 to a coil and a resistance of inductance L. Now when the portion of the slit 2 is covered with the dielectric board 6 from inside the slit 2, a lines of electric force generated at the portion of the loop 1 will pass through the dielectric board 6 concentratedly, eventually a smaller number of lines of electric force passing at the center of the loop 1. This helps concentrate the floating capacitance at the loop part on the dielectric board to reduce the lines of electric force to be sliced by a sample inserted though inserted deep inside the loop 1, leading it a lessened effect of the insertion of the sample changes. This can suppress the change in the resonance frequency while holding back Q.
