There is disclosed an alternating rotary combustion engine wherein the cylinder is divided into two half cylinders: the lower half cylinder is a crank case (1); the upper half cylinder (2) has two working chambers, two pistons and the central rotor. The central rotor is comprised of two semi-cylindrical wheels (5, 6), two cylindrical wheels (7, 8) and the transmission shaft (9). Upon the explosion in the chamber (2a), the piston (4a) rotates in a clockwise direction and makes the wheels (5) and (7) and the transmission shaft all rotate in the same rotation direction. Upon the explosion in the working chamber (2b), the piston (4b) rotates in a counter-clockwise direction and makes the wheels (6) and (8) rotate in the same direction but, due to appropriate toothings and gears at the internal face of the wheel (8) and the rear portion of the transmission shaft, the latter rotates in the direction opposite to the rotation direction of the wheels (6 and 8), in other words the transmission shaft rotates in a clockwise direction in spite of both pistons rotating in two different directions.
|
