PURPOSE:To prevent a driving teeth from moving on to a driving projection from the beginning and to cause the driving gear to engage in a place, by a method wherein a distance between the driving teeth of a driving sprocket is increased over that between the driving projections of an endless belt. CONSTITUTION:Driving projections 2 are formed in a projecting manner at equal intervals in the direction of rotation on the inner peripheral surface of an endless belt 1. A distance in the direction of rotation of driving teeth 4 of a driving sprocket 3, engaged with their respective driving projections to drive the endless belt 1, is increased over that between the driving projections. This constitution prevents the driving tooth at the starting stage of engagement 4 from moving on to the driving projection 2 from the beginning even if the engaging position of the driving tooth 4 is slightly displaced, and enables the driving tooth to be always engaged with the projection in a proper position.
