PURPOSE:The titled resin obtained by immobizing an anti-human Epidermal Growth Factor (hEGF for short) antibody which is selectively reacted with a human hEGF to an insoluble carrier. CONSTITUTION:A hEGF antibody which is an antiserum collected from blood taken out from a warm-blooded animal sensitized with a purified hEGF as an antigen and is specifically reacted with hEGF is immobilized to an insoluble carrier (e.g., cellulose, polyacrylamide, dextran, etc.,) to give a resin for affinity chromatography. The operation of the affinity chromatography is simple and the aimed substance can be obtained in a short time and efficiently. Decomposition with protease can be avoided in a purifying process and recovery ratio is improved. A high-purity hEGF can also prepared. hEGF having >=99wt% purity can be separated and purified by further carrying out a process using HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography), if necessary. |
