MANUFACTURE OF RESIN IMPREGNATED SHEET-LIKE MATERIAL AND DEVICE FOR EXECUTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To manufacture high quality resin impregnated sheet-like material with no void by a method wherein sheet-like material is continuously fed in a vacuum chamber so as to be impregnated with resin varnish and, after that, further impregnated with resin varnish at the outlet part of the vacuum chamber by utilizing the difference between the pressures in and out of the vacuum chamber. CONSTITUTION:Sheet-like material 1 passes between inlet sealing rolls 5 and enters a vacuum chamber 4. The roll 8 of a roll coater 7 is arranged so as to keep a preset clearance A from the sheet-like material in order to bring into contact only with resin varnish without contacting with the sheet-like material. In addition, the direction of rotation of the roll 8 is made to be opposite to the direction of motion of the sheet-like material 1. The sheet-like material is immersed in a dip tank 18 containing the resin varnish 9, so as to be impregnated from both sides with the resin varnish 9 and, after that, further impregnated with the resin varnish 9 stored at an outlet sealing unit part 20 and finally sent to a dryer 22 in order to be dried.
