An apparatus for the treatment, especially shaping and dyeing of knitted leg garments, such as stockings, tights, socks, etc., made of highly elastic material is designed in such a way that the drawing-on station, in which the garments are drawn onto flat forms, has a checking station with an automatically acting drawing-on device which draws the garments onto transparent checking forms and which is assigned an automatic transfer device which removes the checked garments from the checking forms and which then attaches them to flat forms. Moreover, there is provided a drawing-off station, in which the treated garments are drawn off from the flat forms and which has a stripping device loosening the garments on the forms before they are drawn off.
