A cutting and abrading tool for machining wooden materials has an approximately rotationally symmetric basic body (1) with location grooves (2), distributed over the periphery, for cutting tips (3) which are interchangeably clamped in position in the location grooves (2). In order to improve this tool in such a way that the profile machining by cutting or abrading can be effected in one operation only by one tool, a supporting plate (4) is provided behind the cutting tip (3) in the cutting direction, and the outer contour (8) of the supporting plate (4) is approximately adapted to the cutting contour (7) of the cutting tip (3), the adapted outer contour (8) having an abrasive layer (10), and the cutting contour (7) of the cutting tip (3) being approximately in alignment with the outer contour (8) of the supporting plate (4). <IMAGE>
