PURPOSE:To make combustive stabilization securable, by adjoining an auxiliary ignition device to the combustion chamber installed in a piston together with a fuel injection nozzle, in case of a Diesel engine using alcohol fuel or the like. CONSTITUTION:Two section chambers A and B are formed in the combustion chamber 11 installed n a head of a piston 10. On the other hand, one fuel injection nozzle 13, adjoining the section chamber A on one side is attached to a cylinder head 12, while two spark plugs 14 and 15 as auxiliary ignition devices being adjoined each are attached to each of these section chambers A and B. And, the fuel injection nozzle 13 and each timing of these auxiliary ignition devices 14 and 15 are controlled by a controller whereby, in case of a Diesel type engine using such fuel as alcohol or the like, a favorable air-fuel ratio's mixture for flame propagation can be formed inside the combustion section chamber A, and combustive stabilization is secured, thus stability in engine speed and improvement in fuel consumption both are promoted.
