PURPOSE:To improve the aberration property and to raise the resolution power, by curving the opposite end peripheries in a form where the plane vertical to a plane of an electron beam row and parallel to the electron beams, with a maximum distance from its crossing with the opposite end peripheries of electrodes to the fluorescent screen exists between two neighboring electron beams. CONSTITUTION:At the opposite end peripheries of electrodes is furnished a curving form as the end of the G3 electrode 11 and the end of the G4 electrode 12 almost unify each other. In this curve, the distance from the crossing point of the plane, which is vertical to a plane of electron beam row and parallel to the electron beams, between the two neighboring electron beams, with the opposite end peripheries of electrodes to the fluirescent screen is maximum. Furthermore, at the G3 electrode 11, projections 112 and 112' are arranged to have maximum projection amounts to the G4 electrode 12 side, while at the G4 electrode 12, recessions are arranged to have maximum recession amount to its own side. In such a composition, the focusing power in the horizontal direction of the main lens is raised, and moreover, the difference of the horizontal focusing power between at the center and at the outside portions of the electron beams is corrected.
