PURPOSE:To facilitate work and to simplify a procedure by inserting a mosaic code into a desired position of a picture forming area when the mosaic code displayed on a work area is proper. CONSTITUTION:An user draws the outline of a required graphic in an input area 2, and thereafter by hitting symbols 4, 5 for converting and cancelling by a stylus, approximate mosaic codes are successively displayed on the work area 3 and the desired mosaic code is selected therefrom. Then, it is inserted into an optional block of the picture forming area 1 and a mosaic picture is formed. Thereby, the user draws the desired graphic in the input area, thereby, can select the approximate mosaic code and a skill is not required in the operation but the procedure can be extremely simplified.
