PURPOSE:To improve track positioning accuracy by arranging the servo transducer of a magneto-resistance effect element with a yoke and an induction type data transducer in parallel on the same slider surface in the tangential direction of the circumference of a magnetic duplicated layer disk. CONSTITUTION:Servo signal magnetization and data signal magnetization are orthogonally intersected. Then a servo signal is reproduced in a radial direction by the servo transducer 15 made of the magneto-resistance effect element 17 with the yoke gap 19 in a radial direction, thereby detecting a flux caused by the servo signal magnetization. The induction type data transducer 16 with a gap 53 in a radial direction records and reproduces a data signal, whereby the servo signal and the data signal do not interfere, and the track positioning accuracy of a magnetic head can be improved. Since the transducers 15 and 16 are loaded in parallel on the same slider surface in the tangential direction on the circumference of the magnetic duplicated layer disk, the number of thermal off-tracks are minimized, and the servo signal is stably outputted at a constant level. |
