PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which gives laminated sheets having excellent high-frequency characteristics, dimensional accuracy and resistance to heat and solvents, consisting of a polyphenylene oxide, a crosslinking polymer and/or a crosslinking monomer and an inorg. filler. CONSTITUTION:10-95pts.wt. polyphenylene oxide (A) of the formula (wherein R is H, a 1-3C hydrocarbon group) is blended with 1-50pts.wt. crosslinking polymer (e.g., 1,2-polybutadiene) and/or crosslinking monomer (e.g., triallyl cyanurate) (B), 1-200pts.wt. inorg. filler (C) having an average thickness of 3mum or below and an aspect ratio of 10-100 (e.g., Al2O3) and 0.1-5pts.wt. initiator (e.g., dicumyl peroxide) to obtain a polyphenylene oxide resin compsn. A soln. having a resin solid content of 5-50wt% obtd. by dissolving the compsn. in a solvent is cast into a carrier film for casting and the film is dried to obtain a sheet of 5-700mum in thickness. |
