An illumination field comprises a number of modules each of which contains the lighting points (11), pref. light diodes. The modules form horizontal and vertical rows in the field, and the lighting points of each of them are arranged for simultaneous illumination. They work in conjunction with each other to form symbols. Each module comprises a plate with control and support components (9) fitted in recesses (4) in the panel (1). Supports locate against an edge part of the panel surface in the recesses. The modules attached to the panel by fixtures (16), are rhombic in shape, and form upright rows, between them which the relative angles deviate from 90 deg. The control components comprise pref. vertical collars at right-angles to the plate, whilst the supports comprise peripheral flanges around the plate. |
