PURPOSE:To miniaturize a shield cylinder in the radial direction by arranging a cylinder center axis of a metal-made shield cylinder shielding a beam transmission line of a plane wave region while being eccentric toward the electric center axis with respect to the beam guide axis. CONSTITUTION:The primary radiator consists of a conical horn H, two plane mirrors, two curved face mirrors C1, C2, metal-made shield cylinders D0, D1, D2 and D2' and a rotary point R. The cylinder shielding the beam transmission line of plane wave region is the metal-made shield cylinder D0 among the metal made shield cylinders D0, D1, D2 and D2'. The cylinder center axis 13 of the metal-made shield cylinder D0 of the beam guide type primary radiator is eccentric by (d) toward the electric center axis 12 with respect to the beam guide axis 11. In deviating the cylinder center axis is made eccentric in this way, the metal-made shield cylinder D0 shields the beam transmission line at a nearly -20dB electric field level even at a diameter of nearly 2.2m, for example, and the cylinder in the shield cylinder radial direction is miniaturized.
