<p>A bulk sampling head comprises a cutting tool 1, capable of cutting into a bulk material 2, such as asbestos-cement. A wall 3 surrounds the tool and has an open end 6, which permits air leakage past the tool, and an outlet 4, which is connected to a filter 8, and to an extraction pump. In operation, dust released by cutting the bulk material is collected on the filter and may be analysed especially for hazardous fibrous particles. <IMAGE></p> |
