To a ferro-magnetic storage element with non-axial anisotropy of magnetisation, e.g. composed of a Ni-Fe layer, is applied electrochemically, pref. galvanically, a non-magnetic metal, non-magnetic metal compound or metal alloy, and then annealed in the magnetic parallel field. Specif. the non-magnetic metal may be Sn, Pb, Bi, Zn, Cu, In or Cd. |
