The additive is for mortar, consisting mainly of cement suspended in water, for filling the gaps between the jacket encasing tubes and stressed steels for pre-stressed concrete. The additive consists of a finely dispersed aqs. suspension of alkaline earth hydroxide, preferably calcium hydroxide or a mixture of calcium-hydroxide with barium hydroxide, or simply barium hyroxide, with further additives, as required. The additive pref. contains asbestos fibres in addition to the alkaline earth hydroxide suspension. |
