Cutter slits the strip longitudinally into elements of chosen width; these are knitted on a circular knitting machine, and one treated with a treatment fluid. Devices along the path ensure uniformity of treatment and continuity of tension in the strip and the prevention of static electricity on it and on the cut elements, to provide a const. feed for continuous working.
