PURPOSE:To attain the reception even when a modulator plug of a telephone set is not connected and to select an optional plate by providing a main body and a mounting frame, arranging a tone ringer as well as a modulator to the main body, projecting the receptacle mounting face from an open part of the mounting frame so as to fit the main body attachably and detachably. CONSTITUTION:The modular jack is provided with the main body 1 and the mounting frame 2. The main body 1 is provided with a body 3 and a cover 4, and a shield plate (door) 5, a knob 6, a tone ringer (printed board block) 7, a modular (contact block) 8 and a terminal 9 are accommodated therein. A screw hole 2a of the mounting frame 2 is to screw a plate and a screw hole 2b is to screw the mounting frame 2 to a box imbedded in a wall or the like. A claw 4d at the one side of the main body 1 is inserted into a hole 22 of the mounting frame, a claw 4d at the opposite side is inserted in a hole 23a, placed on a shoulder 24 of the projected piece and fitted to the mounting frame 2 so that the receptacle (4a) mounting face is projected from the opening 2d. The main body 1 is removed from the mounting frame 2 by removing the claw 4d from the shoulder 24.
