PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment of the oscillation stroke of an eccentric cam by furnishing a clutching mechanism which couples and decouples a cam shaft with/from said eccentric cam, and thereby performing change of the stroke automatically. CONSTITUTION:To alter the oscillation stroke of a grinder element table 2, current supply to a clutch 19 is stopped to decouple a cam shaft 11b from an eccentric cam plate 15. In this condition, a recipro. shaft driving servomotor 13 is rotated for a certain angle at a low sped, and when the amount of cam plate eccentricity from the cam shaft 11b has attained a certain level, the clutch is again supplied with current to couple the cam plate with cam shaft 11b, and operation of said servomotor 13 changes the oscillation stroke of the grinder element table. A table containing the data about the correlation between the eccentricity stroke and the eccentric angle of the eccentric cam is entered previously in a control device, and the cam shaft 11b is rotated only for the angle which gives a desired eccentricity stroke.
