PURPOSE:To provide buildup of abrasive grains uniformly over electrodeposition surface by pressing abrasive grains to the electrodeposition surface of a disc-shaped base metal while it is rotated, and by provisionally fixing the abrasive grains through eduction of metal ions. CONSTITUTION:A base metal 2 coated with an insulation 4 in its portion not requiring plating is mounted on a rotary shaft 3 arranged in a plating trough 1, and an abrasive grain container 6 and a cover 9 are fitted at the top of said base metal 2. The base metal 2 is rotated, and when its electrodeposition surface 5 passes the abrasive grain container 6, abrasive grains 7 are drawn out through friction with the surface 5 and put over the surface 5 in a layer in parallel to be followed by application of a pressure. When the cover 9 is passing, metal ions in electrolytic liquid 8, such as nickel ions, penetrate the cover 9 to educe on the electrodeposition surface 5, and the abrasive grains 7 are filled locally with this metal to lead to light bond with the surface 5. After abrasive grains 7 are provisionally affixed to the overall surface of the electrodeposition surface 5 during one turn of the above-mentioned base metal, electrolytic liquid 8 is passed between No.2 electrode plate 11 and base metal 2 with current supplied and the plating metal is educed on the surface 5 and the abrasive grains are fast fixed to the base metal 2.
