Prepn. of sodium benzoate prod.

A Na benzoate prod. is prepd. by wet granulation of Na benzoate powder and drying the agglomerates of Na benzoate obtd. Pref. the initial Na benzoate powder has particle size of 10-1000 microns. The liq.:powder ratio is less than 1:3. The liq. is water or a satd. aq. soln. of Na benzoate, used as a mist with droplets of size 20-60 microns.
