[Also in Division B3] A forming machine has two impact members 43, 44 each connected to a piston 45, 46 guided in a cylinder 47, 48 and two separate pressure medium control systems 55, 60 for moving the members 43, 44 relative to one another, one system producing a higher pressure than the other to enable the machine to operate as a hammer or a press. When a lever 52 is lowered and a lever 71 raised, high-pressure supply conduit 66 and discharge conduit 68 are connected to cylinder 47 to cause the machine to operate as a press. The rams 43, 44 are retracted by raising the lever 52. When the lever 71 is lowered, a low-pressure conduit 67 and a discharge conduit 69 are connected to the cylinder 47 to cause the machine to function as a hammer. |
