PURPOSE:To secure the difference of magnetic field intensity between recording and erasing with a simple constitution by forming a permanent magnet having a yoke on one side so as to be rotated as a magnetic field generating means. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic field generating means 10 is constituted of the permanent magnet 11 magnetized in the axial direction of a motor 2 and the yoke 12 fitted to the magnet 11. Since the means 10 is pivoted by supporting points 13 so as to be rotated around a holder 14 and one supporting point 13 is fixed on a motor 15, the rotation of the means 10 can be controlled by the motor 15. When the yoke 12 side surface of the means 10 is opposed to the yoke at the time of recording, a magnetic field leaked from the yoke 12 is utilized, and at the time of erasing, the magnetic field strengthened by the yoke 12 can be utilized by rotating the magnetic field. Thus, the required difference of magnetic field intensity can be secured without changing a distance from a film surface.
