PURPOSE:To sharply reduce the weight of an optical head and to speed up the access time, by inclining a guide rail by a fixed angle in corresponding with the deflection angle of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition where the vicinity of the outer peripheral surface of a disk-like recording medium 31 is deformed to a parasol shape having the deflection angle A1 of about 0.2 deg. due to a change with the lapse of time and the self-weight, a guide rail 36 which moves an optical head 34 is disposed in such a way that its own deflection angle A2 can become almost the half (0.1 deg.) of the deflection angle (0.2 deg.) of the recording medium 1. Therefore, the inclination C1 between the optical axis B of the optical head 34 and nondeformed section of the recording medium 31 becomes about 0.1 deg.. Moreover, the inclination C1 of the part which is deformed to a parasol shape in the vicinity of the outer peripheral surface to the optical head 34 can be adjusted to about 0.1 deg. and the perpendicularly intersecting relation between the optical axis B of the optical head 34 and disk-like recording medium 31 can be maintained under a condition where reproduced signals hardly decline.
