<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the warning of an abnormal decrease in the amount of fuel due to theft, by detecting the remaining amount of fuel and by calculating the decreasing rate of fuel in accordance with a change in the thus obtained remaining amount indicating signal, and by actuating a warning means when the decreasing rate exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A fuel remaining amount detecting means 1 for converting the resistance which varies in association with a variation in the remaining amount of fuel into a variation in voltage E1, delivers the output voltage E1 to a differential circuit 2 for differentiating the voltage E2 to obtain a voltage corresponding to a decreasing rate of fuel. This output voltage E is delivered to a first comparator 3 for detecting a theft of fuel during stopping of the vehicle, and to a second comparator 6 for detecting a leakage of fuel, and is therefore compared with reference voltages at the comparators, respectively. Further, when an output voltage E3 is issued from the first comparator 3, an alarm output control circuit 7 delivers a continuous theft warning signal AR1 to an alarm means 8, and when an output voltage E is issued from the second comparator 6, it delivers an intermittent leakage warning signal AR2.</p> |
