The normal cooling liq. is esp. water, the efficiency of cooling being impaired by deposits or sludge formed in the cooling system. The water inlet and outlet are provided with valves and branch pipes, so the normal cooling water supply can be temporarily cut off while a solvent flowing in a closed circuit is fed through the cooling system to dissolve the deposits etc. No dismantling of the water cooling system is required. - The solvent is pref. water to which chemicals are added, and the water used to make the soln. of chemicals is pref. obtd. from the water cooling system. The closed circuit for the solvent pref. includes a cooler followed by a tank and pump driving the solvent through the water cooling system. - The closed circuit can easily be attached to any cooling system without any interruption to mfg. processes using the system.
