摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain laser beams having an adjusted external shape without deteriorating its efficiency, by providing an aperture having a total reflection surface on its surface opposed to the laser beam emitting direction and adapting reflection mirrors to have a resonance with the total reflection surface. CONSTITUTION:A pair of reflection mirrors 1 and 2 constitute an unstable optical resonator. Reciprocating light is progressively deviated from the axis as it is amplificated by a laser medium 3, and is outputted as laser beams 5. The outputted laser beam 5, passing through an aperture 6 provided in the optical resonator, is adjusted in the external shape thereof. The laser beam 51 trimmed by the aperture member is returned on the same optical path into the optical resonator as a laser beam 52. The laser beam 52 is contained in the laser beam 5 while it reciprocates several times within the optical resonator and then it is emitted from the resonator. Accordingly, no laser output is lost caused by the trimming of laser beams by the aperture.
