The glazing system is for an opening in an outside building wall, using a wooden frame inserted in the opening, in which one of light alloy or plastics is in turn accommodated. The wooden frame is a traditional one (1) with a groove (2), in which the uprights (4) and lintels (5) of the alloy or plastics frame are inserted separately, being of mating profile. The ends of the bottom lintel extend as far as the wooden frame uprights. The inner frame uprights have flanges on the outside at the bottom, extending past and overlapping the lintel.
