PURPOSE:To reduce a sliding loss by providing a recessed part on an opposite sliding surface so that difference in surface pressures between the opposite sliding surfaces becomes constant. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part 3a provided on the inside surface of a connecting rod 3 is arranged not to directly slide with the eccentric shaft 10 of a crankshaft 4. Also, a recessed part 11a provided on the inside surface of a main bearing 11 which is provided on a casing 5 is arranged not to directly slide with the main shaft 9 of the crankshaft 4. The recessed parts 3a, 11a are provided in B parts which are subjected to less loads, with their sliding areas being made smaller than those of A parts respectively, and placed so that the surface pressures of the sliding parts are constant, thereby, reducing a sliding loss.
